Big Guy......

I tell you what every time I turn around somebody is calling me hey Big Guy.   I remember growing up I always wanted to be huge, the Big Guy.  Well, at 37 years old Im 252 lbs.  I carry it well, dont get me wrong....and I have been doing P90X and Insanity for a while and I can hang with the best of them...but man..It is so hard to throw around 252 lbs.  I get burnt out very quick sometimes.  I could not imagine how bad it would be if I did not do some sort of cardio workout on a regular basis.  I guess I cant complain too much when I first started this I could barely get through the warm up on the P90X Chest and Back work out...but, I stayed with it.  Now, I dont even break a sweat.  I did my PT test the other day at the academy and I was 17Percent Body Fat...something I need to work on.  I need to lean down...I guess my point is ... it is not allways important to be Big.  Remember,  You have to move all that weight around, even if it is muscle.  It takes a lot more energy to move that mass around people.

Freedom House Church Life P90X life group

Awesome night...we had Freda and Edward here tonight with me and we did P90X Chest and Back.  They really gave it their all..and more..I did not video tape the work out but next week I will. We had a blast Praying and Sweating ...with the Lord.  Until next week.

P90X One On One Sculpt

WOW what a work out this was.  I, recieved a door attachment with this workout for the use of bands and I know why now.  You will use it.  People have desputed the wieghts vs bands for a while now.  I enjoy the bands and and if Im using one that is not resistance I just use two together.  Thats just me.  I dont know how that would work with the door attachment so I do not recommend it.  The work out consisted of Bi's and Back exercises and after about 30 minutes my arms were spent, but pumped up....LOL  If you have this workout let me know how you did with it.

tomorrows workout is P90X Plus Interval X....at NC FIT CLUB

Join us tomorrow at Elite in Harrisburg Nc for a little P90X action.  It should be an awesome work out. We are doing P90X Plus Interval X.  I will probably attempt the rope climb while I am there tomorrow..Its a little challenging just using all arms.  We will see.

Breaking the Plateau

Looking forward to tomorrows workout.  Probably going to be some sort of P90X One on One.  going to Todds facility to workout.  Anyways, I am so close to a six pack...lol.  But seriously I have lost a lot in the past two weeks.   I had hit a plateau there for a while and not losing any weight, but finally broke through. I changed my food intake around and switched some of my workouts.  I am looking foward to the summer and Coach Summit in LA this year.  So far my team is number 3 for the Biggest Loser contest at work. Coaching is going well, also so far a good week all in all.  Thanks again for following me.

P90X One on One MC2 Back and Base and a little Rev Abs

Well, today was an eventfull day.  I worked out with fellow Beachbody Coach Todd Midgett today and I vered away from my Insane life and tried a little P90X again.  Its been a while.  I found that this workout "Back and Base" was a good combination of Back(Pull ups) and Legs (using Plyo type moves and jumping) to be very impressive.  Although the video itself is not very fast paced the moves themselves will burn you out fast if you do not pace your self.  So, you really appreciate the rest inbetween each exercise.  One hour later and out of breath we then moved on to Rev ABs.. I said what the hell, Im already tired..lol.  These ab works out my not look like much if you just glance at it on tv but 16 minutes late your are spent.  Brent does a good job of stretching inbetween each ab exercise.  Its a good thing because 2 hours later I found my midsection very tight.  I guess it s working.     ;-)  I hope all of you have an awesome day and dont forget to check out my site.  I will also be going to NCfitClub free workout this Saturday for the first time.  I hear is an awesome time there and I cant wait.  Remember PUSH PLAY

3rd Shift and Eating Healthy

Well this is my recovery week from Insanity so I thought I would talk about healthy eating and being on 3rd shift or shift work.  I have been doing this for 9 years now and I have not found a healthy food place open at 3 or 4 oclock in the morning yet nor will I.  Well, that leaves about one option.  Bring your own food....so, now that that is figured out when do you eat?  my schedule is crazy... I work all night, get 4 hours of sleep, go work second job, come home, eat, workout and take a nap and then go back to work all night again.  I have found that taking my food to work at night.. usually a chicken wrap, three hard boiled eggs, apple and a cheese stick works well.  I snack on it all through the night.  When I go home I refuse to eat although it is tempting but I do not.  I go to sleep wether it is a 4 hour or 8 hour sleep and when I wake up my first meal is a Shakelogy shake and I load it up full of protein either with peanut butter or All Whites.  I take a protien bar with me to my second job and that holds me over until I get back home to eat dinner.  The Shakeology usually holds me over a good 4 hours.  My wife cooks very healthy and its allways a treat to walk in the door.  She is even starting her own blog.  My only problem is I find myself to lazy to count my calories and I am think I am falling short of the 3000 that is recomended for me.  You have to remember that I am also doing Insanity daily during this.  I love it when people tell me that they do not have time to work out.  You have time, you just have to give something up.  For more informationa about Shakeology see my siter at

At the end of week 4

Well, the first four weeks have been awesome.  I feel stronger in my core and my stamina has increased.  Overall I feel alot better that I did four weeks ago.  I have lost some of my mass but that is expected.  I cant wait to finish this and then start a hybrid with p90x

Week 4 Day 2

Well, I had a two good workouts this week.  Pure Cardio and Power .. it was some good stuff.  The funny thing was that my one year old daughter wanted stay in the garage with me the whole time I was working out.  Anyways we had a good time and I swear at one point she was trying to do high knees...lol

Week 3.....Feeling Good

Well, Week three is out of the way. I am going to do an extra workout tomorrow just because.  I have been doing the Insanity workouts during the day and then at night throwing up a little bit of weight.  I am feeling much stronger in the core area.  I am getting excited to see what the next phase of the this thing is going to be like.  So far I have lost 12 lbs.  Not too shabby.

My Beachbody Coaching business is doing better this year.  I have tried to stay on top of it more and just keep the consistancy and momentum.  I am here to stay I can say that.

Abs

I did the Insanity ab work out today...not bad.  It was about 16 minutes long and there were no crunches or sit ups.  You get a real good burn so do not think its easy just because there are no crunches.  Anyways it was a plus and then I went on walk with my wife and daughter after just to get out of the house with them.  It was nice.  8 hours later I am starting to feel the signs  of it, not the walk but the ab work out.LOL..  All things are moving smoothly, coaching is going well and making progress every day.  I just have to learn to keep the momentum.  If you have not tried this Insane work out I insist that you try this if you want a challenge.

Stomach Flu NO GOOD.......

Well, This has been one heck of a week battling the flu with my family.  I feel like I have cabin fever.  I was able to get some workouts in though not alot.  I got Pure Cardio in today and it felt nice to get moving again.  I was week though and I could tell that I had spent the past four days sick but I bounced back.  This is probably where some people might quit or give up.  You cant do that you have to realize that  you are a HUMAN BEING and you do get sick and things happen.  Stay in there and push play and work out.  Oh and have fun with it people.  I am.

2nd Fit Test today....start of week three

Ok so I did my Fit Test today.  Big improvement over my last one two weeks ago.  I wore myself out though only because I push myself.  I should use some of that motivation toward my Beachbody Coach business.  Well, anyways, it was an awesome workout and I look forward to many more.

The next two weeks of my Insane life

Well, I copleted two whole weeks of the insanity program and then gave it to a buddie of mine because he did not have anything to work out too.  A new Insanity was quickly ordered and I received it today.  Anyways there was a four day period there were I did not do Insaninty or course so I reverted back my P90X plus videos.   I did the Ab/Core plus.  Let me tell you after two weeks of Insanity I flew through this work out.. The bad side was the next day... Holy Crap, was I sore, but I can tell the difference in the two workouts.  The Insanity work has really worked my core and I am noticing less pain in my lower back.  I am still going to take it easy on the jumping and landing though... Anyways I get to pick up where I left off tomorrow.

my day 1 of Insanity

well, normally this title would go well with my previous marriage but Ill stick to the workouts.  We started the biggest loser program at my work so of course like a good contestant I put on the pounds before weigh in..LOL.  but seriously, I started my Shakeology again and day one of Insanity program from Beachbody.  It was the fit test.  Well, after not working out in 4 months but a previous P90X guru if figured I would kill it.. not so much.  It killed me, and I was sore the next day. 

Tip of the Day... dont stop working out for 4 months and then think you can ace Insanity...
